TOP & Classification 2023

It’s not too late to apply to have your herd inspected for TOP & Classification! TOP provides accurate and unbiased comparisons of cows and sires, thus providing herd owners with easy-to-use information. When all two year olds are inspected, breeding values for these traits are fine-tuned for the individual animals, resulting in a more accurate prediction for how the animal is expected to breed the trait concerned. This is just one use of TOP traits of course!  For more information and to apply to have your herd inspected, click the following link: https://www.jersey.org.nz/top-and-classification/
Applications close on 31st August.

National All Breeds Youth Camp 2024

You don’t have to be from a farm or a member of a breed society to attend.

The camp is designed to upskill young people interested in showing and handling dairy cattle, with tutorials on clipping, judging, handling, nutrition, and showmanship.
*Young people aged 10-14 attending the camp must be accompanied by an adult and stay offsite at night.
